What To Do If Your Car Is Vandalized
You put a lot of work and money into your car so it feels like slap in the face when someone vandalizes it. National Auto Collision Centers is here to help! If your vehicle has been vandalized, here’s a list of things you should do:
Call the Police
Vandalism is a crime and there’s always someone responsible for the damage. Vandalism can mean anything from ruining the car’s paint job with spray paint to breaking its side mirrors. Once you discover your car has been vandalized, the first step is to call the police. It’s not always easy to catch vandals so the sooner you act, the better your chances of finding the criminals and being compensated for the damage.
Visit the Body Shop
Once the police are on the case, take your vehicle to National Auto Collision Centers for repairs. Our estimators will assess the damage, submit a claim to your insurance company (if your policy covers the damage) and then our I-Car certified repair mechanics will bring your vehicle back to its pre-vandalism condition.
Protect Your Vehicle
If your car has been vandalized at least once, you should take extra precautions to make sure it doesn’t happen again. Even if you live in a nice neighborhood with a low crime rate, all it takes is one mischievous kid to scratch your car door or slash your tires. When you leave your vehicle alone for an extended period of time, park it somewhere safe. The garage is an ideal parking spot if you’re at home and parking garages can help keep your car safe when parking in public. A simple car cover can be helpful as well.
The professionals at National Auto Collision Center are here to help if your car is vandalized, so give us a call at (520) 623-4959.
